Dogs just want to have fu-un!

After we had put Amity to bed last night, Paco seized the opportunity to pursue a little entertainment of his own!

Amity had her first hint of a diaper rash after several days of tummy sickness. Following the advice of her Aunt Becky and several others, we have begun letting her enjoy a little bit of time free from clothes.

As you can see Paco was trying to enjoy it too. He would have loved to lick her all over but, don't worry KK, I didn't let him!

A little pair of pink sunglasses...

Apparently, Amity is like her mama in that she is not a big fan of having the sun in her eyes. Who would have guessed that a little pair of pink sunglasses would make such an impact on the happiness of this little girl? Two examples:

1. Amity normally gets bored half-way into our early morning walk because the sun gets in her eyes and I have to pull the shade over her a bit. Yesterday, she donned her sunglasses and was perfectly content for the entire stroll.

2. Sometimes Amity is not the happiest passenger when we are in the car. When she gets sleepy, she has trouble finding a comfortable position to get some ZZZs. However, today, after a long morning of NSP Women's Book Study and a trip to Target, she once again donned her sunglasses and found peaceful rest.

Amity is three months old!

Amity turned three months old today! Just like everyone told us, we are enjoying her more and more each day.

She is still a great sleeper and thus far has made it from 9:00 pm-7:00 am. Yippee! Of course, she also loves her naps just like her mama...especially the Sunday afternoon ones!

Paco's Summer Fun

Lest anyone think we have totally forgotten about our "son" since Amity arrived, we wanted to share some video we captured of Paco this afternoon. This is abnormal behavior for him because usually he avoids the sprinklers but the 98 degree heat must have changed his mind. He assumed attack mode as he attempted to save our family from the scary sprinklers. It was funny to us until he actually managed to turn the sprinkler head all the way around.

Amity's First Haircut!

Last night we got to hang out with some of our favorite friends, Adam & Shannon, at the home of Mrs. Patsy (the matchmaker that got this whole Dennis-&-Candis-Grover thing off to a start almost 5 years ago). Shannon and I had the wonderful idea of giving our girls a haircut. Amity has been sporting the mullet lately (see below)! So, on the front porch of the Welch home, I held the girls while Shannon took charge of the clippers. Laid-back Anne (above) took it all in stride for the most part. Amity was already crying before we even started. We hope it will be the first of many memories these two girls have together...hopefully the future ones will have fewer tears!
