"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life..." Philippians 2

Movin' On Up!

Thank you...thank you very much!
We didn't expect Amity to be very aware of Christmas presents this year but she seemed to catch our enthusiasm and made some pretty cute expressions (watch for the eyebrows and wide-open mouth)! Some of you didn't get to experience her unwrapping of your gift in person, so we are posting the footage here for you to enjoy!
Thank you, Nana Norma, for the super-soft lamb and the beautiful books (and the snacks for the grown-ups, too)!
Thank you, Noni Diana, for the Leapfrog train! I am working on crawling after it but when that it too much work, I like to push the buttons and chew on it!
Thank you, Lolly and Pop Pop, for the Grover puzzle, the Grover and Elmo trucks, the teddy bear, and the new outfit!
Thank you, Uncle Dylan, Aunt Becky, Cousin Eli, and Cousin Eiley, for the piggy bank and book!
Thank you, Nana, for the bath toys! I am already enjoying them!
Thank you, Aunt Elaine, Rachel, and Lindsay, for the cuddly teddy bear!
Thank you, Mary, for the super cute outfit to match Cousin Eiley!
Thank you, Uncle Brent, Aunt Jenni, and Cousin Griffin, for the books! I love tags and touchy-feely books!
Thank you, GDaddy and KK for the pajamas, baby doll, Winnie the Pooh, and new outfits!

Day at the Museum
Of all of the things to do in the Science Spectrum museum, Amity's favorites were the bubbles and the mirrors. As you can see below, it is a toss up to tell if dad or daughter is having more fun!
What could be better than just one Amity? Nine Amities! That is, of course, how it would be spelled!
These next three, well, we just couldn't help ourselves!

Here Comes Santa Claus...
After several weeks of asking experienced moms for their Santa suggestions, we found Santa at Bass Pro this afternoon! Thanks Val and Natalie!
Of course, in planning our trip to Bass Pro to see Santa, I hadn't thought through the fact that Dennis would want to show her some of the finer aspects of such a fabulous store.
Back at home, while exploring new territory beneath the coffee table, Amity found her Daddy's socks (holes not pictured).
Then, she enjoyed the first few minutes of the last Dallas Cowboys game in Texas Stadium. Her Daddy was just a little bit pleased!

[She's got] chills...
Does it make us bad parents that this is the third time that we saw this routine? We just had to go through it once more for the camera. Of course, the doctor did say to offer a food at least ten times. Stay tuned for more potential episodes of kiwi eating!

Let's hear it for the boys!
I don't know if it was just a coincidence but Amity appeared to be trying to clap for the first time tonight. We didn't catch her best clapping attempts on video but Dennis did catch a little bit of her enthusiasm and concentration on the game.
