"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life..." Philippians 2

True Friends
Last week, our little preschool playgroup met at the park. Amity wanted to try the balance beam but was scared of falling. Her sweet friends offered to help her. She wasn't quite sure she could trust them so Jessica helped out too. So thankful for sweet, encouraging friends!
Dr. Daddy
On Tuesday, Dennis defended his dissertation and it went great! Very soon, he will officially be
Dr. Grover but he's already got the girls calling him Dr. Daddy! We are so proud of him and grateful to be entering life after dissertation!

Crazy about puzzles!
Amity LOVES to do this puzzle! It has 100 pieces and she puts it together completely by herself at least once a day. It brings her such joy! She says she wants a 20,000 piece puzzle for her birthday!

Always and forever
Last Tuesday morning, we can home from ballet and I sent the girls outside to play while I made their lunch. They played ball and in the sandbox and then decided to move furniture. At one point, I glanced out the patio door and saw them sitting next to each other with their arms around each other and I heard Amity tell Vivien, "Do you know that we will be friends forever?". Ahhh....Lord, please let it be so!
Home is where...
the doorknob is! This was Amity's first drawing of a house. She went and pointed to the doorknob on one of our doors and said, "See this dot I put on the door? That's called a doorknob!". There have since been many more house drawings each with more details. I love our little super-observant girl!
Shadows
On Saturday, we tried to get haircuts at Cool Cutz at 10:30 in the morning. Not a good idea! It was crazy busy. I bailed and texted Dennis to pick us up ASAP! While we waited outside the store, the girls discovered their shadows!

Court Days
Few people are grateful when their dad has to go to court but we love it when Dennis has to go to court to represent the school in attendance cases because it means he often gets to come early! Last Wednesday was a beautiful day to be home early and we now have clean cars!
