"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life..." Philippians 2

I Can Do It Myself!
So...I have been meaning to sit down and record all of the funny things that little Miss V is saying these days. She acts like she is 2 going on 20 and headed straight for stand-up comedy! Some fancy phrases that she regularly incorporates into her conversations are:
Actually...
Sometimes...
Of course!
In a minute!
...and, of course, "I can do it myself!" and "I don't need help!" Compared to her very independent big sister, V's independence still seems like a mild case BUT she thinks she can use her quirky sense of humor to wiggle her way out discipline. Hmmm...I wonder why she would think that?
This video above was taken on Friday night at bedtime after family worship. Her song request was to sing the books of the New Testament song that Amity has been learning for Chapel School. I should have edited the video but then no one else would appreciate just how TWO this little girl is! We still think she is very cute and is our very favorite two-year-old!

Library Love
I just love the public library and we are so excited about the new one that is about to open right around the corner from us. Today we went to the read aloud book club at the Lochwood Library. We watched the first episode of Martha Speaks, listened to a read aloud of a cute book of poems about dogs, and then made doggy ears. The girls had a blast. I was impressed with Amity's cutting and Vivien's coloring. We are excited that the librarian there today is going to be the children's librarian at our new library!

Missing in Action
I sent the girls to play in their room this morning while I finished getting ready. As I was doing my make-up, I realized that it was really quiet for several minutes. When I walked into the room, I didn't see them in any of the expected places and started to get kind of nervous. I called for them and a little eye peered out from a blanket strategically placed by her sister. These photos were recreations of their hiding spots! :)
Flower Power!
Today was Amity's second art class at the DMA. They studied 3 paintings of flowers, including a Georgia O'Keefe, and then had the opportunity to paint their own flower in the studio. Vivi is looking forward to her first class next week!

First Sleepover
On Friday night, Amity and Vivi experienced their first sleepover with their cousins. It was lots of fun and they loved having extra friends to talk to at bedtime. They didn't fall asleep until 11:30!
