Cooling off at the Riverwalk

After our hike at Treasure Falls, we headed back to Pagosa to the riverwalk for a picnic.
It was still hot for Colorado (about 90 degrees!) so we decided to cool our toes in the water.

It quickly turned into cooling the lower half of our bodies!  Vivien kept saying, "Let's go!" as in let's go all the way in the water!  The kids were jealous of the people wearing swimsuits and floating down the river on tubes.

Dennis and Ashley helped all of the kids cross the river to the other side.

Not included in the pictures above were the falls by Eli, Eiley, and myself!

After a hike and lots of playing in the water, this little munchkin fell asleep in the drive back to Lolly and PopPop's house.
And this one just wanted me to take her picture!

Treasure Falls

Our first adventure of the day was a hike at Treasure Falls.

Even the littlest one tried to walk as much of the way possible.
But all of the girls were carried on shoulders or in arms at one point or another!
 Beautiful waterfall!
Vivi is loving being Ashley's little buddy!
Becky, I promise that Eiley's hair didn't look like this when we left the house!

I finally step into a picture and then I don't consider the fact that I am standing up hill and on a rock. I know I am tall but this looks truly amazonish!

Dennis poses for another Senior Portrait.
And then gets Eli to join along!

Too much time in the woods...

We made it all the way back to the bottom!

Table Time

After a good night of sleep, chocolate donuts, and several episodes of Woody, the Woodpecker on Netflix, we needed to find something to entertain the kiddos while the grownups decided on the plans for the day.  Lolly brought out her stash of books and stickers and there was some intense coloring and tic-tac-toe going on.
