Emily texted me earlier this summer that we had to visit a new tea room that was opening in Denton. When the girls got back from GG and KK's, we needed to head up to Denton for an afternoon of meetings at the Rodens. We decided to go a little early to enjoy a tea party. When we walked in, I told them that we had come all the way from Dallas because we have our very own Amity. The owner came out and treated the girls to their very own teaccinos which were super-yummy and I got a tea spritzer. Amity and I ended up trading drinks. So much fun and we loved the puzzle floors! We can't wait to go back!

First Day of Chapel School 2012
This is what we looked like last year on the first day of Chapel School. It was so much fun to go back again this year and see all of our old friends and meet some new ones too. Amity took herself and an apple for Show and Tell and Vivien took an alligator puppet. Vivi loved getting to go to her new 2 year old enrichment class and Amity was just happy to be back in the swing of things. I am excited to spend this year in math class! It's going to be a great year!
What's up, Chuck?
Last Saturday was beautiful! It seemed like everyone everywhere was finally deeming it safe to emerge from their air-conditioned homes. Dennis and I both had lots of work to do but we decided to take a break with a picnic to the neighborhood park.

Amity had been complaining of a stomach ache all morning. When we got to the park, she didn't want to eat anything and just wanted to sit in my lap. See this face below? That is the sweet face of someone who is just minutes from tossing her cookies and everything else she had eaten in the past 24 hours. And she was sitting in the same exact position when it happened. That lady with the glasses? She has now officially been christened as a mom.

Thankfully, sweet little girl felt wonderful after getting rid of the yucky stuff in her tummy. She was very happy and healthy the rest of the day. And, thankfully, so were this cute girl and her daddy too!

Just ducky!
We have been enjoying a full week of somewhat cooler temperatures (90s instead of 100s) so Dennis has kept the top off of the Jeep. With rain forecasted for the weekend, he was preparing to put the top back on but wanted us to take an evening ride first. After dinner, we hopped in the Jeep and drove around the lake. The ducks and the sailboats were out in full force.

For the record, Amity, I did take lots of pictures of you but I am still figuring out lighting and because you were in a different spot of the sunset, none of them turned out very well. Someday, you might be grateful that there weren't more pictures to document your footwear fashion statement!

Almost like having a twin!
These fun friends spent the morning with us last week. Lots of giggles and silliness and hugs. We're so thankful for friends with matching ages!
