Today we took a family adventure to Ennis to explore the bluebonnet trails in the Jeep. It was more beautiful than we had imagined and we had such a fun time.

Arturo and Me
On our way to art class on Thursday morning, I decided to try storytelling with the girls. I started with "Once upon a time, there were two sisters..." and then we took turns adding to the story. They did much better than I thought they would be able to and we came up with several fun stories. Little did I know that it would be fairy tale day at the DMA beginning with this representation of Cinderella. It made me want to make sure my girls know multiple versions of fairy tales in addition to the Disney version.
It was too cold to go to Klyde Warren so we spent some time in Arturo's Nest. I love the toys and tools that are available in this room and the girls do too.
Vivien is really into pretending these days. She was pretending to be a baby bird and wanted me (Mommy Bird) to feed her worms mouth to mouth.
Back to the Future
On Monday, we took a field trip with my parents to my hometown of Duncanville. First, we stopped by to see our sweet friend Mrs. Jerry at her home and then we headed to the Jespersen's Ben Franklin for some delicious lunch and shopping. It was so fun to go back to a place where we visited so many times in my childhood and see it thriving and growing. We also loved seeing Dan and Janice and Janna and her girls.
Vivien on Ice
Disney on Ice
We have decided to start alternating a birthday party with a birthday event every year and this year, Amity picked Disney on Ice for her birthday event and her sweet friend Rosie to join in the fun.
The last birthday meal menu request was hot dogs for lunch so we met Mrs. Emily and Rosie at Wild About Harry's.
