Happy Belated Father's Day!

This morning, I left before Amity was out of bed to run to the grocery store to pick up a few things for a meal for a friend. Dennis got to do the morning routine with Amity (serve a breakfast of banana, toast, and yogurt; change a massive poopy; and begin pack-and-play time). After I got home, pack-and-play time was over, and I went in to scoop up the little one and bring her into the kitchen to play while I unpacked the groceries. At one point, I interrupted her mid-crawl to ask for a hug which she gave quickly and then leaned back to the floor to continue playing...that is...until Daddy appeared on the scene. She began following him around the kitchen begging to be picked up which, of course, he obliged! Just out of curiosity, I went to the two of them and asked Amity to come see me. She very gently gave me the Heisman and said something sounding like "nuuuu". Of course, I had to test whether that really happened and she did it again...3 more times!
I pretended to cry while Dennis gloated. I don't think I got an ounce of sympathy from him! When he finally said, "Okay, you need to go to Mom because I've got to go mow the yard," she did this...

and this...

and five minutes later, was still doing this...
with hands banging on the patio door!
Happy belated Father's Day to an awesome daddy who has stolen the heart of my little girl (and mine as well)!

Since our wedding scrapbook is still in the form of a scrapBOX, we plan to use blurb.com to occasionally convert this blog into a photobook for our girls. Your comments will be included in the book and we love them! Thanks again for dropping by!
