This is a sign that we have seen when driving from Lolly and PopPop's house into Pagosa. I used to drive by these signs with skepticism but, ever since seeing We Bought a Zoo, I feel a little more obligation to check them out. We looked online at the Rocky Mountain Wildlife Park and read that the best time to go is at the four o'clock feeding time tour.
When we arrived, they gave the kids grain to feed the goats and donkeys. Then we followed one of the caretakers on her four-wheeler filled with buckets of food for the animals. Princess, the grizzly bear was my favorite!
Up on shoulders to see the feeding of the porcupine
Trying to get the donkey to come take our grain
One of the less wild animals at the park!
There weren't that many animals but it was still really interesting to hear how they came to acquire each of these rescues and we learned lots of facts about the animals as well as what to do if you come across them in the wild!

Since our wedding scrapbook is still in the form of a scrapBOX, we plan to use blurb.com to occasionally convert this blog into a photobook for our girls. Your comments will be included in the book and we love them! Thanks again for dropping by!
