- your infectious laughter that you invest in the small things
- loving to snuggle on our shoulders
- learning to be a good sleeper from a very young age (you've spoiled us!)
- loving to eat pretty much anything we feed you
- being content to be alone in your room and still...
- scrambling to stand up and greet us with a smile as soon as we come through your door
- loving to read books
- sharing your joy by smiling and waving at strangers at the grocery store
- "talking" about everything you do...we can't wait to understand what you're saying!
Amity, on the day that you turn one year old, we pray that God uses your strength and passion for His glory: To this end [when the Lord comes to be glorified by his saints and to be marveled at on that day among all who have believed], we always pray for you, asking that our God will make you worthy of his call and will fulfill by his power every good resolve and work of faith, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
We look forward to this next year of getting to know you even more! Happy Birthday!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Baby Girl!! You are such fun and if you inherit Oma's traits, not only will you be a soul winner but you will also be quite a prankster!!! She was such a Godly woman and if you were ever in her presence you KNEW you were going to have prayer together. Just watch KK, she is so much like Oma. I believe me she likes to pull pranks just like Oma.
ReplyDeleteI love you, Amity!!

ReplyDeleteGDaddy and KK love you so much. We can't thank God enough for sending you to our family. You've been such a delight, so much fun! We love your enthusiasm, and yes, Oma had enthusiasm! As your Mommy wrote so beautifully, there is no greater joy than to see our children, and our grandchildren, walk in truth. We pray God gives you MANY years to glorfiy Him. Happy Birthday, Precious One!
