On Tuesday morning, we left Plainview with the goal of arriving in Pueblo, CO by evening. Our van was LOADED! I don't think we would do very well with the kind of camping where you have to physically carry it all with you! 
While in the car, the girls stayed entertained with lots of DVD shows, books, and coloring.

With a couple of stops for lunch and potty breaks, we arrived by 4:30 to our hotel. We headed out to Walmart to pick up a few things and went to Texas Roadhouse (where else?) for dinner. A very tired girl who would not take a nap in the car finally fell asleep in my lap at the table. She missed the entire dinner but her little sister was happy to eat the full order mac 'n cheese.
After an evening swim at the hotel pool and a good night's sleep (our last in a real bed for a whole week), we awoke the next morning and enjoyed a bit of cable television and hotel breakfast before continuing our trek to Estes Park.
