Watch and Learn

One of my favorite things about three-year-old Amity is the opportunity to learn more about what makes her unique. Independent. We've know that since practically the day she was born! Keenly observant. That is something that is revealing itself more and more each day.

On Friday, we spent some time at the park. An elementary-aged boy was there and was swinging on the swings next to Amity (she was doing her tummy-swing thing). This boy loved to swing himself really high and then jump off. On Saturday, we were back at the park for our neighborhood picnic. Amity asked me to help her sit on the swing. She immediately began pumping her legs back and forth like she had seen that big boy do the day before.

Today we went to a different park and she was back on those swings. She was extremely focused and methodical in her pumping but she ended up swinging pretty high, especially for a little girl that has NEVER let us push her very high at all in the swings.
Just a'swinging!

Now, I just need to remember to keep praying that she observes and imitates the GOOD she sees and not the not-so-good!

Since our wedding scrapbook is still in the form of a scrapBOX, we plan to use blurb.com to occasionally convert this blog into a photobook for our girls. Your comments will be included in the book and we love them! Thanks again for dropping by!
