We love our local library and make a visit there at least once a week. Last Saturday, we attended the summer reading program kick-off and enjoyed a fun band, arts and crafts, free snacks, and a clown that made balloon animals. As I buckled her into her carseat as we were leaving, Amity declared, "When I grow up, after I am a princess and a ballerina, I want to be a clown!"
Yesterday, a firetruck was scheduled to be at the library at 2 so I woke the girls early from naps and fed them snacks on the way. We waited in the very hot sun to get a chance to climb up in the truck and try on the helmet. The firemen were great and loved showing off their truck.
Amity found the number three. I think this may be our new thing...taking pictures of her next to her number!Yesterday, a firetruck was scheduled to be at the library at 2 so I woke the girls early from naps and fed them snacks on the way. On the front of the truck. She is definitely getting into the whole posing thing!
We got to see the process of raising the ladder.
I'm not sure that Vivien really cared about any of it! She was so hot but stayed happy as long as I kept giving her apple slices and water.
Inside the coolness of the library, each girl found a stack of books and a place to sit.
I remember loving to visit the library with my mom and I am so thankful to make this a part of our routine. The librarians are so sweet and the Mayor's Summer Reading Program has some really awesome prizes. They even had me sign Vivien up. It is definitely making me be more intentional about reading to them EVERY day!

Since our wedding scrapbook is still in the form of a scrapBOX, we plan to use blurb.com to occasionally convert this blog into a photobook for our girls. Your comments will be included in the book and we love them! Thanks again for dropping by!
